Each winter, a magnificent ice hotel is built, providing a magical atmosphere for our guests. With the addition of the Arctic Wilderness Lodge, we now offer accommodation throughout the year.

The summer months are bright and sunny. From June to September you can experience the riverboat tour up the world famous Alta River. With one of our experienced boaters, you get a boat trip with the best experience Northern Norway’s nature can offer. Towards majestic Sautso, Northern Europe’s largest canyon, the valley becomes narrower and the nature wilder. We depart at fixed times from Sorrisniva, but we can also accommodate larger groups.
During the winter we offer many different experiences. You can go on organized snowmobile tours up to the Finnmark plateau, with views over Northern Europe’s largest canyon. Upon request we arrange snowmobile safaris for longer trips with accommodation, VIP tours or trips tailored to your needs.
Our Sami experience includes a tour with reindeer and sled, with visits to the lavvu, a Sami tent, where you also get an insight into Sami culture and history. This activity can also be booked in the evening where you are looking for the Northern Lights.
Our traditional Igloo Hotel is built every year, which opens in December. With various themes the hotel carries its distinctive character from one season to another. Our Igloo Hotel is a very popular destination for both visits or overnight stays. You can also book a wedding in our beautiful ice chapel.
