Sorrisniva is a traditional family business, located just besides the world-famous Alta River. For over 30 years, the company has been providing wonderful adventures for our guests, with nature as the main ingredient.
Our traditional Igloo Hotel is built every year, being the World’s Northernmost Igloo Hotel. It opens every December and melts down again in the spring. The Igloo Hotel has an area of 2,500 m2 and it takes 250 tonnes of ice and 7,000 m3 of snow to build it.
With various themes the hotel carries its distinctive character from one season to another. Our Igloo Hotel is a very popular destination for both day visitors and staying guests. For a once-in-a-lifetime experience, the Igloo Hotel can also be booked for wedding ceremonies in the Ice Chapel.
Sorrisniva offers a wide range of wilderness experiences to supplement your stay in the Igloo Hotel. During the winter you can, among other things, join us on snowmobile tours, Northern Lights hunting, snowshoeing trips, Reindeer and Sami experiences and King Crab Fishing.
