Maku Restaurant is located within Sorrisniva Arctic Wilderness Lodge, on the banks of the Alta River and surrounded by Arctic wilderness. Here, modern Nordic gastronomy, local ingredients and the surrounding landscape come together, framed by expansive panoramic windows overlooking nature.
Our kitchen draws inspiration from the landscapes and changing seasons of Northern Norway. The menus evolve throughout the year, following the rhythm of the Arctic seasons and showcasing regional ingredients and flavours that tell the story of this unique place. Fish and seafood from arctic waters, game and reindeer, local vegetables, berries and herbs take centre stage, prepared with modern techniques and a deep respect for each ingredient.
