Our newly renovated lodge has cozy ensuite rooms with access to private or shared Aurora Domes. This picturesque set up with a location in the pine forest in Mathisdalen, only 45 minutes drive from Alta airport, gives you an unforgettable stay and personal service in the wilderness.
When staying at Onga Lodge you can choose your ensuite room with a private Aurora Dome or a room with access to a shared Aurora Dome. In the Aurora Domes you can enjoy the nature and the night sky with the Northern Lights. The ones for private use are suitable for an overnight stay and the shared one is furnished with comfortable chairs so that you can stay warm and comfortable inside – but outside.
Our chef has a passion for creating cuisine with local ingredients such as reindeer meat, fish, berries, mushrooms etc. The breakfast buffet and 3-course dinner are always included in our room rates and a 2-course lunch is also available.
In addition to relaxing in beautiful surroundings, you can participate in a range of exciting winter activities such as snowshoeing, dog sledding, a snowmobile safari etc. We also offer 2-4 night packages that include return airport transfer, accommodation, meals and chosen activities. We also have a traditional wood-fired sauna available to be booked for your private use.
