We work according to the seasons and offer unique experiences where you as our guest get to experience a bit of everything. What we serve in the Arctic North and Finnmarksvidda is not decided by us – but by the nature around us.
We cannot promise that you will experience the finest weather or taste a certain type of menu. You will not find a similar day or a similar menu, and therefore you will not become a passive guest. You will be surprised, that we can guarantee. You will know the appreciation we have for what nature provides, its value, love and respect. We envision you leaving us as ambassadors for what Finnmark can be, both in terms of taste and experiences.
We are established in Kautokeino and Alta. With us you get to meet nature in a unique way, taste what it has to offer and take part in the most unique journeys.
Some of the things you can experience with us
From November to March, you can expect a tailor-made experience with unique elements, such as the northern lights, reindeer, ice bathing, snowmobiles, ice fishing, dog sledding and of course an exclusive taste from the fjord.
In May, our life consists of lazy days on the ice with ice fishing, while we wait for the first reindeer calves to see the light of day. Life on the mountain also offers a completely different dining experience. During this period there is the possibility of accommodation.
From June to August, you can take part in a guided nature walk, going back in time to see how nature has been used as both a food pantry and a pharmacy. We serve good food and there are options for accommodation.
In July, we bring you over the mountain of death, where the weather and wind can turn from a warm summer day with sunshine to full winter in a short time. The trip ends with a unique experience trip with reindeer calves and food service. Limited places. This tour is only possible to complete 4-5 days a year.
In September you can experience a trip to the reindeer enclosure. This experience simply shows you how the food is made. On this experience, you are not a guest, but a participant on an equal footing with the rest of the family. The trip ends in the lavvo with food service. Limited places. This tour is only possible to complete 3 days a year.
