The experience begins in our restaurant, where you will see photographs and hear stories about the spring reindeer migration – one of the most important periods of the year in reindeer herding. Here, you will gain an insight into how we live according to the rhythms of nature and how reindeer herding has been part of our family for generations.
We then head outside to meet and feed the reindeer. You will get close to the animals and learn about their importance to our culture, our community and our identity.
Next, we visit our museum lavvu, where our guides share their knowledge of Sámi culture, traditions, history and reindeer herding. You will gain a deeper understanding of the semi-nomadic way of life and how nature shapes our eight Sámi seasons.
The experience ends around the fire in our large lavvu. Here, a hot drink and cake are served in a warm and intimate setting. Together, we share joik – our traditional form of vocal expression – and make time for conversation and questions.
This is a personal, intimate and genuine experience.
Immerse yourself in an unforgettable journey into the heart of Sámi traditions.
