Whale2Sea Whalesafari Andenes is a company that has delivered whale watching to guests for over 30 years. We combine whale watching with scientific research on the whales. This knowledge is transferred from our resarchers via our guides to our guests.
Orcas feeding on herring show a specific behaviour, which includes very active „carousel-feeding.” Fin whales, the second largest whale species, may also be seen. The winter herring season in the north is unique globally, attracting large whales to feed side by side during the winter months.
Most daylight and more watching
The winter in the Arctic means shorter light during the day. Our trips start early and we use all the daylight there is. This means that you get the most out of our whale-watching tour! Our guides are highly trained and will tell you about the different species we see. Captains and guides are also trained in safety and will take good care of our guests! We approach the whales respectfully in their proximity.

The whale watching starts from the harbour in Alta, and there is a short distance out to the whales. We provide warm floating suits for all our guests.
