Craving adventure? Here we have the perfect activity for you: a winter tour from Alta to North Cape. The journey might be long, but the breathtaking nature (and of course the Globe) surely worth it.

While in summer it’s a popular and family-friently destination, during the harsh Arctic winter reaching North Cape turns into an extreme and challenging adventure.

The 230km trip from Alta to the North Cape crosses untouched and breathtaking landscapes, and we believe it represents a perfect example of the journey being more important than the destination.

Reaching the iconic Globe Monument is always a memorable experience, but the sense of achievement hits totally different after reaching it during the infamous Polar Night. Picture this: roads covered in ice and snow, wind gusts barely allow you to stand, and extremely challenging  temperatures. But, at the same time, the harsh winter conditions contribute to making this one-of-a-kind tour an unforgettable and magic adventure.

If this scares you: don’t worry. We’re well equipped to safely face even the most difficult situations, and we constantly check the weather conditions in order to guarantee our guest’s safety. We’ll also provide Arctic-proof thermal suites, warm meals/drinks and everything you may need to experience the Arctic in the most authentic yet safe way.

After such a challenging day we’ll truly deserve a stop in a local restaurant in Honningsvag where you can (finally) warm up a little bit and chat with other guests.

Be aware: although Auroras usually appear in the sky after 6pm, it will still be possible that they appear on the way back. In such case we’ll make an extra stop to enjoy the Green Lady.
