Traditional riverbotat trip in Máze and a Sami festival meal

Join us on a tour with our traditional riverboat and enjoy our stories about the local history of Máze and the historic cemetery Máze Zion. You will experience the fantastic nature in Maze with a small guided tour down the river in the Sami village of Máze before we drive up to Máze Zion where you can hear about its historical significance and foundational history.

The historic cemetery is quite special considering that the names are written in the old Sami way of writing names. We end the tour by gathering in our Lavvu, our traditional Sami tent, for a traditional two-course meal. The meal can be replaced with Sami snacks consisting of, among other things, reindeer meat. While we enjoy the food, we tell more about the Sami people, their way of life, history, and culture.
