Join us on a scooter tour, experience our beautiful, raw nature and learn to throw the lasso.
The tour starts from the Thon hotel where the guests are given winter clothes. We drive two people per snowmobile and the trip takes us to a lavvu where the guests are welcomed with joik, traditional Sami food and drink, and where they can learn more about the Sami and our culture. It will be too exciting to see who wins the prize in the lasso throwing competition.
The average temperature in winter is around -20 degrees. In Kautokeino you can still experience temperatures down to -45 degrees. Recommended clothing is therefore warm outerwear, woollen inner-wear, woollen socks, mittens, scarves, hat and good winter shoes.
