We drive with snowmobiles into the vastness in search of the beautiful and mythical the northern lights. Join the hunt for the Northern Lights. The trip starts from Thon hotel where guests are given warm winter clothes. We drive 2 people per snowmobile and pray to the weather gods that the northern lights will show us their spectacular light show this evening.
During the hunt, the guests are served hot coffee and cake.
The average temperature in winter is around -20 degrees. In Kautokeino you can still experience temperatures down to -45 degrees. Recommended clothing is therefore warm outerwear, woollen inner-wear, woollen socks, mittens, scarves, hat and good winter shoes.
