Fjord and King Crab Safari

This trip starts with a briefing and dressing in our Explorer Store. You will be given suits and equipment for a safe and eventful trip at sea. On this trip we focus on storytelling from the Altafjord. We drive past places with historical value and beautiful nature. Further out in the fjord we will experience more pointed alpine mountains than in the inner parts of the fjord. We end up in the fishing village Storekorsnes. Here you will be served a lovely fish soup, and in addition have the opportunity to experience live king crab up close, in an aquarium.

• Meeting Point: Our Explorer Store in the city center: Markedsgata 6, 9510 Alta
• Changes may occur due to weather and sea conditions. If the conditions are too bad, the program is adjusted to a trip in the inner parts of the fjord, where conditions are often better, followed by a 2-course lunch from the menu at Stakeriet.
• Bring warm clothes and shoes according to the season. We recommend warm woolen clothes. We have a selection of wool products for sale at our Explorer Store.
• This trip is not recommended for those with back problems or if you are pregnant.
