Established in 2018 by Julie Guiderdoni, Valhalla Expedition creates authentic, experiences from its remote bases in Seglvik and Reinfjord, in the heart of Kvænangen fjord.
During the winter whale season, we specialise in land-based orca and whale expeditions. Guests explore the fjord aboard purpose-built RIBs with experienced captains and guides. Depending on the chosen expedition and the conditions, activities may include whale watching, snorkelling with orcas, wildlife observation and learning about the animals, their environment and the research conducted in the region.
Safety and respect for wildlife are at the centre of every departure. Our crews approach the animals carefully, never chase them and allow each encounter to unfold naturally. Decisions regarding navigation and entering the water are always made by our captains and guides according to the weather, sea conditions and behaviour of the animals.
Reinfjord is also an exceptional base for ski touring. Accessible only by boat, the village offers direct access to wild mountains, untouched terrain and magnificent views over the fjord. Groups can stay in our houses and enjoy a peaceful base from which to explore the surrounding Arctic landscape.
Our houses are also available to rent for private stays, groups and tailor-made experiences.
Outside the winter whale season, Valhalla Expedition can welcome incentive groups, company retreats and team-building events. Our large traditional lavvu accommodates up to 40 people and can be arranged for meetings, workshops, shared meals and group activities. A private chef and customised catering can also be organised upon request.
