Experience one of the most exciting war history attractions. At the Tirpitz Museum in Kåfjord you will learn the story of the German battleship Tirpitz, the largest battleship during World War II. The ship was located in Altafjorden for several years and made the area a strategic center in the north.

The museum offers authentic objects, pictures, models and films that give you a close encounter with both the naval battles, the soldiers and the everyday life of the local people. Tirpitz Museum was opened in 1980 by Even Blomkvist.
