NX Journey is a locally based experience company in Alta, Northern Norway. With the historic fishing vessel MS Tuvholmen as our floating base, we create small-scale journeys through Altafjord and the fjords of Western Finnmark.
Our experiences are built around nature, local knowledge, coastal culture and life at sea. Guests travel in small groups, close to the elements, with personal hosting and a strong focus on quality, safety and authenticity.
Our signature experience, Fjord to Table, takes guests into Altafjord for a hands-on coastal journey with hauling King crab pots or longlines, storytelling and a warm meal prepared with local ingredients. During the whale season, whalesafari becomes a natural part of the experience as the fjord follows its seasonal rhythm. The experience follows the season all year around, and King Crab and Whalesafari becomes a natural part of the trip when they appear in the fjords.
