Activity Manager at Sorrisniva

In the position of Activity Manager, you will be responsible for the operation of both in-house activities and experiences, as well as those we offer through external providers.

You are expected to contribute ideas, take initiative, and further develop products and concepts tailored to our different customer segments and seasons — including the development of new activities.

This position requires a high level of engagement and the ability to independently plan and execute your workdays. You will encounter many exciting professional challenges, a wide variety of tasks, and opportunities to exercise creativity and innovation. As Activity Manager, you will, together with the rest of the host team, contribute to a professional and active hosting role within Sorrisniva’s range of experiences. A key responsibility will be ensuring the well-being of guests, with a strong focus on quality, customer experience, and safety.

Responsibilities:

  • Daily operations and management of activities at Sorrisniva
  • Quality assurance of experiences – participation and assessment (including content, instructions, schedules, etc.)
  • Personnel responsibility for guides and other activity staff
  • Execution of activities and experiences
  • Product development – further develop and design new experiences
  • Responsibility for safety, risk assessment, and quality of what we deliver
  • Service and support for guests and staff
  • Close cooperation with other departments at Sorrisniva to ensure a holistic experience for guests
  • Recruit, train, and guide activity staff and guides
  • Create schedules and staff plans for activities
  • Work towards making Sorrisniva a preferred travel destination in Finnmark
  • Budget and performance targets, and driving additional sales

Qualifications:

  • Relevant education in tourism, event management, or similar
  • Experience in similar roles, preferably in tourism or experience-based travel
  • Courses/education in safety and quality
  • Experience in personnel management
  • Proficient in Norwegian and English
  • Passion and enthusiasm for nature-based experiences
